I’m Dr Yang Ng, a UK-trained medical doctor and former GP with more than 20 years of NHS clinical experience, including several years as a Clinical Teaching Fellow. I’m also a certified TEFL English teacher.
I combine extensive clinical experience with professional English-language teaching to help international doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals develop the clinical communication skills they need to work confidently and effectively in English-speaking healthcare environments.
Through years of clinical work in the NHS, including experience as a GP and Clinical Teaching Fellow, I have seen how communication can directly affect patient understanding, professional relationships and confidence in clinical practice. Clinical communication is more than speaking good English. It involves empathy, professionalism, teamwork, clarity, active listening and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
